This education kit explores the diverse yet interrelated topics of trade, art, music, religion, history, and geography along the Silk Road, the theme of the 2002 Smithsonian Folklife Festival. It can be used to supplement traditional classroom materials with a sourcebook, interactive activity plans, audio and visual samplers, as well as reference materials.
